John Saunders Reeves discovered the murder of Martha Tabram. At approximately 4.45am he left his room to go to work. He was horrified to come across the body of a woman, lying on her back in a pool of blood.
He sought out a policeman. He found PC Thomas Barrett 226H and led him back to the body of Martha.
