Hammerton Road Police Station - Yorkshire Ripper Inquiry
On 2nd January 1981 Peter Sutcliffe was taken to Hammerton Road Police Station following his arrest for theft of car number plates.
Pete Sutcliffe was found in a car with a prostitute when a routine police check found his number plates did not match those on the Police National Computer.
It was following this arrest that Sutcliffe admitted to his crimes.
