Operation Painthall - Yorkshire Ripper Cold Case Inquiry

Operation Painthall was a little-publicised investigation into a number of unsolved murders and assaults that may have been committed by Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper.

In January 2016 the DCI leading the operation, Detective Chief Inspector Dunkerley, was in contact with Swedish Police following rumours that the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, was in Sweden at the time of Teresa Thorlling's brutal murder.
